What is the difference between CAD and BIM?
CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is a 2D or 3D representation tool, while BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a comprehensive digital model containing geometry, materials, costs, and schedules. BIM includes CAD but goes much further in coordinating project information across disciplines.
What LOD level do you work with?
We work with LOD 200 through LOD 500, depending on your project phase. LOD 300 is our standard for construction documents, ensuring accuracy and proper coordination across all building systems.
How long does a typical CAD drafting project take?
Timeline depends on complexity and scope, but a typical architectural drawing set (15-20 sheets) takes 3-4 weeks. Rush projects are available with expedited rates. We always provide realistic timelines upfront.
Do you provide MEP coordination services?
Yes! We coordinate Architecture, Structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems using clash detection to identify and resolve conflicts early, reducing RFIs and site rework.
What software do you use?
We primarily use Revit for BIM modeling and AutoCAD for 2D drafting. We can also work with Navisworks for coordination, Dynamo for automation, and other industry-standard tools as needed.
Can you work with existing CAD files?
Absolutely. We can take legacy CAD drawings and convert them to BIM models, reorganize file structures, continue work from your existing models, or update and enhance documentation.
Do you offer revisions after project completion?
Yes, we include a revision period for minor changes and updates. Significant scope changes are handled separately with adjusted timelines and budgets.
What file formats do you deliver?
We deliver in industry-standard formats: .dwg (AutoCAD), .rvt (Revit), PDF for prints, and other formats as requested. All files are organized and documented.
