How we handle
your drawings.
Outsourcing documentation means handing unreleased design work, client names and programme dates to someone else. These are the controls we operate so that decision is an easy one.
NDA before any file transfer
We sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before you send us a single drawing — including for free test sheets. If your practice has its own NDA template, we'll sign yours instead of asking you to review ours.
Access on a need-to-know basis
Only the drafters and reviewers assigned to your project can open your files. Access is granted per project inside the client portal and revoked when the engagement ends or a team member rolls off.
Delivery through the portal, not email
Files move through our client portal at app.draftitecture.com over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), not consumer file-sharing links or personal email. Every upload, download and revision is logged against a named user.
You own the work
All intellectual property in the drawings, models and documentation we produce transfers to you on delivery. We claim no rights over your design, and we do not resell or reuse project content.
Retention and deletion
Project files are retained for the duration of the engagement plus an agreed archival window, so revisions can be picked up later. Request deletion at any time and we'll confirm in writing once it's done.
No public use without permission
We never publish your drawings as marketing samples without written consent. Case studies on this site are either consented to or fully anonymised, with client names, addresses and title blocks removed.
Compliance posture
GDPR
For UK and EU clients we act as a data processor for any personal data contained in project files, and will enter into a data processing agreement on request. Our privacy policy sets out what we collect through the website and portal.
ISO 27001
We are not ISO 27001 certified. We've built our access control, retention and delivery practices along its lines, and certification is on our roadmap — but we'd rather say so plainly than imply a certificate we don't hold. If certification is a hard procurement requirement for you today, tell us early.
